For this project, POS is teaming up with Patti Arellano, who was born in the Philippines, but is now a New York City local.
Patti will be doing her first half ironman in Boulder, Colorado on June 8th and inspired by her own journey from Southeast Asia to the United States, would like to help the youth from Bali Life Foundation so they can find their own path through sports.
Patti grew up riding her bicycle in the streets of Manila, and in 2019 started joining group rides in New York. During the peak of the pandemic when strict guidelines were imposed in New York City, cycling was a way to find social connection amidst the isolation especially as her family was halfway across the globe in Manila. Through cycling, she found community, lifelong friends, and the confidence that she can achieve anything that she set her mind to.
As Patti completes her dream of finishing her first half Ironman, which consists of a 1.2-mile (1.9 km) swim, 56-mile (90 km) bike ride, and 13.1-mile (21.1 km) run, she will be dedicating each of the miles (or kilometers) for the Bali Life Foundation.
Help us achieve our combined goal of €5,000 for the Bali Life Foundation!
