For this event, we are joining forces with Elias Renard, a sports coach and founder of Renard Coaching. Over the past 3 years, Elias has pushed his athletic boundaries several times, completing cycling tours of 500, 750, and 1000 km in one ride. With these actions, he has consistently raised a significant amount of money for charity.
This year, we are collaborating on a new initiative: The UZA Tria-Go 4 Kids. This project aligns perfectly with POS's mission and Elias's passion: getting everyone involved in sports and making them stronger, both mentally and physically. With the UZA Tria-Go 4 Kids, the University Hospital Antwerp (UZA) focuses on children with chronic illnesses or mental disabilities, as well as children recovering from major surgeries. With the help of professional coaching, they train the children to participate in a triathlon competition, providing the necessary equipment as well. This project helps children build or rebuild their self-confidence and resilience.
What's the challenge? To raise funds for this wonderful project, Elias is taking on another crazy challenge. On April 27th, he will embark on a cycling journey with 10,000 meters of elevation gain. That's equivalent to Mount Everest (8849 m) plus an additional 1151 meters of elevation! He will be cycling up the Col du Rosier, a climb near Spa, 40 times. And, of course, descending each time 😉. In total, it's 352 km of cycling, with 10,000 meters of climbing. Elias will complete the journey in one go, without sleeping and with only a few short stops to eat. The goal is to raise 1 euro per meter of elevation gain, or reaching a total of 10,000 euros.
Help Elias achieve his goal and support the children of Tria-Go 4 Kids to the finish line!
Thank you for your contribution!
You are most welcome to come and support on the spot.
